Coming in November: A Buddhist Path to Joy

Cover of A Buddhist Path to Joy

You can't judge a book by its cover, but the best ones are heartfelt communications. The designer who worked on this cover for me understands what I want to convey in my next book. That can be you sitting under a virtual bodhi tree looking over virtual mountaintops.

You don't have to travel to the Himalayas to find a life of joy. I've devoted the rest of my life to helping people shed needless suffering. I can't carve a linear path, but I can give you pointers for you to carve your own. It took me almost eight decades of life and four of Buddhist practice, but it needn't take you that long.

You may know the story of the impoverished man in a ramshackle hut who is unaware of the priceless gem buried in the mud beneath him. All of us have a gem waiting to be found. We don't need to consult another map and search far and wide to find it. We just need to relax and clear away the mud.

I expect to have A Buddhist Path to Joy on the market in November. It's a continuation of The New Middle Way, published in May and available in ebook, paperback, hardback, and Audible editions. Spiritual teacher and author Andrew Holecek called it "a delightful book that will benefit many." Reviewer Maileen Hamto found it "like sitting with a wise and compassionate elder."

You can learn more and read a sample on the book's Amazon page. Outside the United States, search for "Mel Pine" or "The New Middle Way" on the Amazon website that's available. The ebook and paperback will be widely available on other sites by September 4 and the audiobook on November 1,
